Ivor Davies is a highly regarded tourism industry professional, with significant expertise in resort management and business administration. He has been General Manager of Undara Experience for the past 17 years and spent 16 years as Group GM for Kingfisher Bay Resort Group.

Resort Consulting allows Ivor to share his experience and expertise with others in the tourism and resort industry, with a specific focus on developing business capacity to make or improve profitability.

Ivor Davies

Ivor has dedicated his professional life to the tourism, resort and hospitality industry. He delivers his extensive experience to a range of clients through Resort Consulting, providing results through insight.

Starting as a chef, Ivor worked in the United Kingdom, Singapore and New Zealand, before moving to Australia in 1976. Passionate about food, Ivor has kept his skills current throughout the years, expanding his repertoire, knowledge and abilities, while working in Queensland’s resort industry.

Ivor’s professional management experience in Australia includes time managing Undara Experience, Kingfisher Bay Resort, South Molle Island Resort, Kooralbyn Valley Resort and Capricorn International Resort.

He has consulted at Daintree Eco Lodge, Waltzing Matilda Centre Café (Winton), Rose Gums Wilderness Retreat, Mungalli Dairy Café, Spring Creek Pastoral and Savannah Guides Limited.

He has been a past Board Director for Savannah Guides Limited and Savannah Way Limited.

Delivers Results Through Insight

Ivor has also hosted and conducted bird watching and digital photography tours for World Photo Adventures to; Namibia, Fraser Island and Far North Queensland. When he is not watching the birds, he is behind the lens and has provided stock and assignment photography for Kingfisher Bay Resort, Savannah Guides Limited and Undara Experience as well to private clients.


“I have known IVOR DAVIES since 1998 when he became involved in a professional business management contract arrangement by, (TLC), “Tourism Leisure Corporation” of our family business Undara Experience. This arrangement continued successfully for all parties for a number of years and was terminated by mutual agreement when we were confident we had developed the new skills and confidence to manage the business.

My personal and professional interests have traditionally been in the Beef Industry and they are currently as a partner in SPK Pastoral and as the owner and operator of Spring Creek station, with other members of my family. Ivor has a wealth of overall business knowledge and experience which can be applied in a number of different types of business and when he offered to assist with business planning relating to SPK Pastoral, we were quick to accept.

Ivor has made it a priority to personally become better informed on some of the different strategies required in running a pastoral operation and marry them with the general business principles which have served him so well over the years.
